You have 12 months from the date of your registration in which to apply for a Secured Environments audit, if you do not apply within this time you will have to pay to re-register.
Achieving Secured Environments status does not guarantee you will not be a victim of crime or disorder, nobody can guarantee that. The risk of crime changes over time and therefore responses need to be flexible and updated - following the Secured Environments principles will help with that.
Being accredited with Secured Environments does not exclude you from your legal obligations regarding safety and security at work, where a variety of legal requirements mean that you need relevant policies and procedures in place; the accreditation does not replace those requirements.
